Iveco has made the EEV (Enhanced Environmentally friendly Vehicle) emission levels standard on its HGV range - an admirable move, but frustrating, as the allowances for the Reduced Pollution Certificate (RPC) cease later this year.

Planning to travel through Southampton in the next few weeks? You probably shouldn't, according to the local council, because IKEA is opening a new store and traffic levels are predicted to be exceptional. Now, where did I put that Allen key?

There's a nice little round-up of economic indicators here, including the alarming statistic that of the UK's top 1,000 transport firms, 194 are in the 'danger zone'.
