We have more recession-related news as it emerges that nearly three quarters of hauliers in the UK have seen a dramatic downturn in business. Among those in particular pain are creditors of North East Logistics, which collectively are owed £200,000 by the failed Darlington firm.

Inflation-busting increases to vocational driving test fees won't help the industry, of course, and  don't forget that the second EU directive on close-proximity and wide-angle mirrors is coming into force at the end of Match.
