Today in Road Transport, 20 February 2009

Job losses figure in the road transport news once gain - up to 40 employees are to go at Kuehne + Nagel's distribution centre in Doncaster.

There are better times at GE-BE Transport, which has just purchased a flagship Euro-5 Renault Premium, and Welsh firm CJ Bird, which is enjoying the benefits of effective tyre management.

Staying on the product theme for a moment, I'd like to mention that we now have the Commercial Motor Testers' Choice 2009 up for perusal on RT.com.

Ending, as usual, with the blogs: BigLorryBlog has been in the Southern Hemisphere, admiring some 'Klassic Kiwi Kroozers' from yesteryear and checking out some Aussie tank transporters and outback fire engines.
