Today in Road Transport, 9th February 2009

Whatever you think of Boris Johnson, his latest move is likely to please van operators: the Mayor of London is scrapping phase three of the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ), which would have extended the scheme to vehicles up to 3,500kg GVW.

However, there's more bad news from the transport sector in general: the number of land transport firms going into administration during the last quarter of 2008 was more than double the corresponding number in 2007.
