TNT has defended its stand on haulier MMK, whose owner recently had £3m of assets seized by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).

Meanwhile, hauliers are criticising TDG for the way it runs the 4PL operation for Aggregate Industries.

A battery manufacturer has said what we have long suspected - that petrol-electric 'mild hybrids' are a complex short-term solution which will be overtaken by other technologies.
