Today in Road Transport, 22nd April 2009

It's Budget day! OK, so that's hardly cause to throw your hat in the air, but it will be interesting to see what Alistair Darling has in store for us today. We're expecting news on fuel duty, credit guarantees, property rates and possibly a vehicle scrappage scheme.

If you want to know precisely what is on the horizon, get over to Roadtransport.com's Budget page, where I will be getting together with the FTA's Simon Chapman to give you the latest information about the Budget, and live analysis of what it means for the transport industry.

Better still, we'll be able to take your questions as they come up. The event starts at noon (the Chancellor's speech itself starts at 12.30pm) and will carry on until around 4pm. Don't worry if you miss it - the Budget analysis will stay up on the page.
