Now that's what Biglorryblog calls a 'hangover'! But with a properly-lit truck, and likewise illuminated escort vehicle, everything's nicely covered. And why wouldn't it be? After all, Ringwood-based abnormal load haulage company, Elvy Transport, has chosen Venta UK as its sole supplier for hazard warning lights. And having provided Elvy with replacement lights for its existing vehicles for the past year Venta and has just completed the kitting out its latest escort vehicle too.
And no doubt all BLB readers with an interest in light bars (and I know there are one or two of you out there, come on don't be shy now) will be keen to learn that being one of four escort vehicles run by the company, the new Mazda van has been fitted with Venta’s 1,200mm lightbar with two rotators, stop/turn/tail lights to the rear and extra LED warning lights for the front of the vehicle. The addition of Venta’s VariLED Double Dash windshield warning light, two VariLED warning lights behind the front grill and two VariLED warning lights at the rear has ensured that the vehicle is equipped to fully comply with the Highways Agency's code of practice. To complete the package, Venta has also supplied the van with its SpaceSaver fold-flat cone, which saves essential space in the vehicle. So like BLB said...sorted!

An abnormal load specialist for over 36 years, specialising in the marine industry, Elvy Transport is the prime transport company for the RNLI. Covering escort and abnormal load transportation throughout the UK and Europe, the company operates a fleet of articulated tractors, rigids and specialized trailers with power steering. Following the phasing out of police escort services in England, Wales and Ireland, Elvy Transport has expanded its fleet of escort vehicles which are equipped to fully comply with the Code of Practice issued by the Highways Agency and Police requirements.
“With today's heavy traffic conditions, you could be forgiven for thinking that a slow moving abnormal load will just make things worse”, Malcolm Elvy, Managing Director of Elvy Transport tells BLB. “However, a properly marked escort vehicle, fitted with top-of-the-range high intensity warning lights and matrix signals can alert traffic early enough to help ease congestion, and assist traffic flow around the hazard. We have chosen Venta UK for all our lighting equipment as its products are second-to-none and are backed with friendly and efficient service”.
And for good luck, as we're talking about boat transport here's a picture of the exact replica of the good ship ‘Discovery,’ in which plucky colonists set sail to the New World four hundred years ago, which toured the UK earlier this year with the help of leading global yacht transportation specialists Peters & May. P&M is used a low loader to carry the 48ft, 28-tonne ship and to prove it here's a picture of said ship and low loader...hitched to a rather splendid Daf XF run by boat haulier R.A.Bugler. Now where else do you get such splendid boad hauling pictures but Biglorryblog...mmm...maybe I should change my name to 'Boatlorryblog'...what do you think?

I think the Mazda is a Bongo (Jap import only). Do I get a pie?
Malcolm it's so great to see you're still hauling after all these years your friend Vanessa xx God bless you honey
