It's amazing what some people will do to get you to hire their vans. Sixt rent a car has obviously decided to go down the 'Dragon's Den' route with the introduction of special edition Volkswagen Crafters, each emblazoned with a fearsome, fire-breathing dragon. It's all part of a Europe-wide campaign to raise the profile of the company’s van fleet offering notes Biglorryblog. Will it make me hire a van from Sixt...? You never know. Meanwhile, the special edition ‘dragon’ models will be introduced for rental during October 2007.

Beverley Oliver, Sixt's UK head of sales tells Biglorryblog: “The dragon was chosen for the special van livery to represent the strength and passion of the Sixt brand...many of our customers remain unaware that commercial vehicles represent a substantial part of our overall portfolio, so with the help of our Sixt dragon, we hope to raise awareness of this and establish ourselves as a complete solutions provider for all of our fleet customers’ needs.”

So you might say the VW Crafter is a bit of a fire-breather then...?
