Biglorryblog's man in Poland Mariusz Kościński has sent me this link to a series of YouTube video postings from Peter Romberg featuring Volvo roadtrains on mining work in Sumatra... enjoy!

Remarkable stuff! I was particularly impressed by what looked like a B-Triple behind a KW too. And I like the way the grader is parked at the exact spotwhere the Volvo loses traction on the bank. I wonder if they were using diff locks at this point?

I did look at the other videos as well, so the volvo roadtrains have a gross weight of 160 tonnes. That's still a axle load of 15 - 16 tonnes. What about the tyre limits?.

I'm not sure about the road where those logging roadtrains were driving but I think those tipper roadtrains are driving on a haulroad on which only company vehicles are allowed, something very common in mining environments in Australia for example.
