My mate Vladimir in Russia is clearly beginning to get a handle on Biglorryblog. here's sent me another load of interesting photos including this MZKT 8x8 pictured in Kazakhstan. In case any BLB readers are wondering, MZKTs are built at the Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant which was set up in 1991 from a special-purpose wheeled tractor division of the Minsk Autmobile Plant (MAZ) which previously built heavy-duty stuff like missile carriers. And for more fabulous Russian bonnted trucks click through here....
Anyway Vladimir also tells me: "You wrote about the old [Iveco] cab used for Ural trucks, but have you seen the bonneted Ural with an Iveco cab?" He then points out that while Iveco Australia was one of the first to build a bonneted tractor--tha PowerStar---with an Iveco cab (and I exclude the old Magirus bonneted dumper from this list) the second truck maker to do it was Ural with the Ural-6464 in 2005--that's one pictured above.

The third bonneted behemoth was the Iveco Strator seen above at the Amsterdam show and the last model was the Ural-4320-48 shown here below at the Moscow Motor Show in August 2007. Both Urals have the YaMZ-7511 engine at 400hp.
Thanks, Vladimir great stuff.

this truck is very rare, but beautiful
Very nice stuff! The 6464 is not the most beautifull truck on this planet but it looks very massive. They also built COEs with the same old Iveco/Fiat cab.
