Why is this brave man apparently laughing in the face of disaster asks Biglorryblog? I believe I have Mark Sumpton to thank for these pictures, as well as a very honest commentary. Click through to see what it's all about....!

"Well boss, I was going a round corner trying to catch a ferry. Thanks to Mark, Jimmy and another man whose name I can't remember---between us we managed to straighten the load of hides and get them to Vicenza in one piece. Mark Sumpton (P J Boyle transport) PS: A little pushing and shoving sorted the problem!" I can see it did Mark, I can see it did. And remember kiddies, don't try this at home!

And a yellow card warning from Biglorryblog to anyone tempted to post a comment along the lines of :"well they got a right 'hiding'" or "They had no hidhing place.." OK?

Good heavens, this makes me cringe. I know that “on the hoof” you have to be inventive and pool resources however……a few years ago I saw a guy do this with a forklift, not a Scania. The strap broke and it hit the truck driver, who was standing in the trailer at the time, on the temple. The force and weight sent him flying out of the trailer across the yard and onto the cold and rather unwelcoming concrete. An ambulance was called and the truck driver spent three days in hospital recovering.
It doesn’t stop there; I later found out that he suffered permanent sight impairment and was “not the man he used to be.”
If only we could wind the clocks back.
Well this is what you learn when you on the road , do what you have to do to get the load there,
By the way I wasnt the driver of truck which load moved, I was the helper
My Dad is so much of a fool the only thing he could manage to do is take the photos!
That last comment was only a joke i am proud of my Dad for what he did if any one takes this personly then leave a comment xD
