Irish Actros takes Rallycross honours

Clutchslip reports: While the on-track winner of this weekend's inaugural London Masters Rallycross in the grounds of ExCeL London isn't known yet, there's no doubt who wins the award for best truck in the paddock. The travel-stained but still impressive Actros 2546 was pictured as its load of two competing cars were prepared for action after their run from Dublin, with the aid of its on-board Moffett Mounty. With a 460hp engine and 16-speed PowerShift automated gearbox driving the 6x2 rear-steer chassis and its two-tonne load, to say owner driver Trevor Ratcliffe enjoyed an easy ride between the two capitals would be a bit of understatement.
