More Malteezers from Ashley L. Classic trucks from Biglorryblog

Two 'classics' for the price of one. A Maltese Roadtrain with a Ford D-Series on the back! And naturally if Biglorryblog has pictures of Golden Oldies in Malta they could have only come from one person---yes Ashley 'Mr Malteezer' Lovering. I don't know where (or indeed how) he finds them...but the shots just keep coming for which BLB is eternally grateful!

Now this one caught my eye as it's a lightweight Constructor which eventually ended up being sold under the Leyland Daf banner with (if I recall correctly) Daf's nine-litre engine under the hood. I certainly roadtested one with Richard Kingston and it did rather well on fuel. Of course this could be a 'ringer' in as far as it might be a Constructor six-wheeler that was stretched in the UK into an 8x4 with an extra steer axle added on...but who can tell?

Meanwhile, click through for more magnificent Maltese oldie-but-goodie trucks...

Ahh...that Bedford TK moment...dig the fancy rear wheel trims too. Off a Bedford coach perhaps?

And full circle back to the Ford D-Series. A nice symmetry don't you think? And my thanks again to Ashley L for the great pictures.
