What am I always telling you? Never throw a picture away as you never know when you might want to blog it. Although Biglorryblog received this picture from Renault back in October I carefully stored it away thinking: "hmmm...snow scene that might come in handy for Christmas. " Et Voila! (as they say down our way) Anyroadup no doubt you're asking: "What's the story Biglorryblog?" And well you might.

It seems that the Russian haulier TK AXIS, a leading player in car transportation in Russia, has ordered 500 Premium 380.19 tractors from Renault Trucks Vostok. And for all those tempted to say 'So what?' I can tell you that this is the biggest deal ever signed by Renault in Russia since the French truck maker opened for business there in 1992. Meanwhile all the Premiums will be delivered during 2008.

For more information about TK AXIS click through here...

TK AXIS's HQ is in Saint Petersburg and it has become one of the market leaders in vehicle transportation in Russia in the space of just four years. The company operates a fleet of almost 700 vehicles, most of which are from Renault. The substantial growth in its fleet is the result of some big transportation contracts it has recently signed. Amongst its customers are Toyota, Gefco, Renault and Citroen. And it's not the first time its bought Renault trucks either...back in 2005 it confirmed an order for 55 Premium 370 dCi Euro-3 tractors equipped with a locally-assembled ROLFO car transporter bodywork. So now you know.
