Your Top 10 (head-turning) Trucks....It looks like the Volvo F16 is on a roll says Biglorryblog.

Following my recent blog on your "All-time Top Head-turning Trucks" I've been contacted by BLB reader Andrew Cooper who tells me:"Hi Brian, here's my favourite Top 10.
1. Volvo F16 ( I know I am biased---because I own one!) There's it pictured above, and what a beauty! Moreover, for all F16 freaks, make sure you buy the next edition of Truck & Driver
2.Volvo F88 (so many child hood memories)
3.Diamond-T 980 (same reason as above)
4.AEC Mandator Mk5. (Dad drove one)
5.Leyland Ergomatic 2-pedal Beaver (as above)
6.Atkinson Borderer (epitome of 1970's haulage)
7.Peterbilt 359 conventional with 'Double Eagle' sleeper (awesome machine)
8.Mack F700 (Yank-Tank that landed in UK in 70s and everyone secretly wanted one!)
9.DAF 95XF or XF105 (what a cab!)
10.Scania Topline T-cab, the only European truck i would sell my F16 to buy!!

Thanks Andrew--good choice, maybe I should have made it the Top 20.....and clic through here for a picture of your Number 1 head-turner.

And what a beauty. Meanwhile, if any of BLB's anorak army happen to have nice pictures of original F16s then drop me a line...

What a hoot! remember sat at a truckstop reading the latest Truck mag featuring the latest F16,The operator/owner was complaining about the trucks fuel consumption when I happened to glance up and the derv from the same vehicle featured was being siphoned into a travellers Transit.Typical piss poor British management.had to laugh.

Barney:

My favourite 1&2 as well. The F88 for the same reason. The commer maxiload would be my third because I spent my childhood in one.
