Bigloryblog has been sent this selection of big bonneted Brazilian battlers from Ollie Dixon, he of World Truck Blog. The reason? None other than he's been having a clean out and has no-doubt found these pictures down the back of his sofa... Anyway the one above climbing up the hill here is a Volvo NH. I'm not sure whether Volvo ever built the NH at its Brazilian truck plant. What I DO know is that they currently make a rather unusual tractor called the VM and here it is...
I suppose you could call it a cross between an FM and an FE, insofar as it's got a narrow cab but looks like a regular FM/FH from the front. In the meantime if that doesn't float your canoe click through here for some more Brazilian big bonneted battlers...

Greedy boards anyone?

Now here is an old veteran Scania. If my memory serves me right it's called an LB. But 110 or 111? BLB anorak army advance please!

And last but not least a locally-made bonneted Mercedes. Once you get out to the savannah side of Brazil (as opposed to the forest) there's a lot of red 'bull dust' on the roads just like in Oz.
Volvo did build the NH at it's Brazilian truck plant.
Even the versions for Europe came from Brazil.
All this trucks are made here in Brazil because we dont have much trains here. The orange are called "alligator" because the nose. In hills, you need travell with the doors open because the heat of engine in cabin. His trailler are made of wood, very popular here.
