Phwoar! bBiglorryblog advises all red-blooded readers not to get too close to the McIndoe Surgical Centre’s new Mercedes Sprinter van...as its eye-catching livery might just prove to be well....something of...how shall I put it...a distraction?
Both the sides and the rear doors of the 313CDI Sprinter boast striking images of a rather attractive young laydee, "....whose obvious charms are now helping to promote the McIndoe Centre as a leader in the fast-growing field of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery."
So that's alright then. You can be sexist but in a good cause....wuh? Emily Pankhurst must be rotating in her crypt! And have you noticed how, on the Sprinter, her 'eyes' follow you around the room....? Anyway click through here for more 'distracting images...
What BLB does find fascinating is that the McIndoe Surgical Centre is named after the same father of plastic surgery Sir Archibald McIndoe, who pioneered the treatment on the same site of airmen, sailors and tank crews burned and injured during WWII. However, nowadays the centre offers a wide range of services, including cataract, ENT and oral maxillofacial surgery and dental implants.
And just in case you're wondering what a German panel van has to do with all the abover the Sprinter plays a vital part in the transportation of sterilysed surgical intruments...and not alot of people knew that.
I can't help wondering, however, whether such advertising is likely to have a down-side. Indeed it would be interesting to see how many accidents occur in the immediate vacinity of the Sprinter over the next 12 months. That said, for a REAL on-road distraction it's probably far less diverting than this baby...
Spotted by yours truly at a RAI show some time ago. And surprisingly I kept the single useable image just in case it might prove useful (all the others were sadly ruined when the lens steamed up.....)
