Why is Biglorryblog showing you a picture of a body lying slumped on top of this pallet looking for all the world like a pole-axed photographer? Should we call the Police? has foul-play taken place?

Perhaps this slightly different view will give you a clue…? Can you see what we’re up to yet?

Yes and here he is, T&D’s ace snapper Tom Cunningham you can see more of his working life as a photographer on his excellent website

Anyway why was he lying down on a pallet with a long lens? To photograph these Teutonic ‘Black Beauties’—a line-up of splendid Mercedes Actros MegaSpace tractors run by Kelly International Transport who we’ll be featuring in the next edition of Truck & Driver. Having popped over to chat with Tom and KIT boss Martin Kelly within minutes it’s obvious that it’s a real ‘family’ outfit. They seem an excellent bunch and run immaculate rigs with a real pride in their work and trucks.

And to see one of the stunning shots from Tom’s series of pix from the photoshoot (those other ones were BLBs) click through here.

And ‘yeertiz’ a beautifully-lit truck (black is NOT an easy colour to shoot) set against piles of contrasting sand on the company’s site in Kent. And if you’ve ever wondered what photographers like Tom put in the back of their boot…now you know.
