Terbergs on Biglorryblog. You can't have too much of those madcap Dutch multi-wheelers.

The recent post from Hank about the unlikely Volvo Eurotrotter F12 running in Canada has prompted Niels Jansen to respond to Biglorryblog thus: "Interesting to see the 'European' style F12 on the road in Canada. I think it is still used as a truck to haul flowers and plants. See the name on the headboard. It may even have a Dutch owner, because a lot of my countrymen emigrated to that part of British Columbia and set up businesses there."

Niels goes on to say: "Regarding the Volvo F12 cabbed Terbergs. Indeed Premay in Edmonton, Alberta, bought a couple. Enclosed is a photo of a smart F1850 8X4 (with Volvo TD diesel engine) that usually pulled a giant home-made platform trailer. The company also had a F2000 8x8 oilfield bed truck, and one of its suncontractors a F1350 6x6 tractor. It was in 1986 that I visited and the trucks were brand new then. At least two of them have been in service for many years and may even be so today."

Now click through to see a modern day Terberg multi-wheeler. Oh those crazy Dutch.

As Niels quite rightly says Terberg uses Volvo cabs and engines within their own unique chassis while rival Ginaf uses DAF and driveline bits for their custom made model. They both make wacky multi-axle rigids with multiple driven and steered axles like this Terberg above spotted by BLB at the RAI Show last October.
