The fastest lorry in the world? Not quite...

What do you reckon of this model - looks pretty cool, doesn't it?

But it comes from a pretty unlikely source - one which was pretty scornful of lorries...

In fact, this concept for a logging truck came from Bugatti, the great French manufacturer of sports cars, some time between 1946 and 1952 (according to this excellent forum thread):

The model is painted in an appropriate Bugatti blue, of course, and you can just see the edge of its horseshoe-shaped radiator.

The irony is that Ettore Bugatti derided the Le Mans-winning Bentleys as "The fastest lorries in the world".
