Farming accidents...just another day down on the farm with Biglorryblog and Rod S.

My favourite Kiwi Rod Simmonds has sent me this selection of pictures to Biglorryblog which only goes to show that there are plenty of 'Well Boss' moments in farming as well as road haulage....the only trouble is, it probably takes a darn sight longer to recover some of these babies than it does a truck...for example how do you get an air bag under this?

JoF9.jpg

And you probably wouldn't want to get too close to this until someone had turned the power off....

JoF7.jpg

The poor unfortunate driver of this tracked monster obviously thought he had a submarine...or was practising his ditching techniques...hope he got out alright!

JoF6.jpg

This bloke either reversed his mega tractor into the tank..or has just driven over it!

JoF5.jpg

Not sure how this hapened..maybe the driver had a sneezing attack. Meanwhile, click through here for a bit more farm machinery mayhem...

JoF4.jpg

Now this one has got me really confused...did he brake too sharply or am I missing something here?

JoF3.jpg

X marks the spot..or Alas poor digger...I knew it well.

Jof1.jpg

This probably explains why in certain countries they use water buffalo to pull farming kit....

JoF2.jpg

And last but not least this picture looks a bit 'grainy'...as indeed so does the cab. Thanks to Rod and my sincere sympathies go to the drivers of these bits of various farming kit..there but for the grace of God go all of us etc...and I hope that they ended up with nothing more than a slightly bruised ego.

The picture of the tractor folded up on top of the loader, was a new tractor being demostated to a farmer in Saskatchewan Canada. It was being roaded at I think about 18mph, when the loader dropped to the ground and dug into the grid road.
The result was what you see in the picture.
tractor stopped dead in it's own length and folded in half.
No one hurt, but tractor totaled.

wow! some bad accidents there, wot happened to the last jd combine??? tank window collapsed or summit???? shouldnt overload!!!!!! empty into the trailer!!!!! lol funny though, very sad 4 the driver!!!!

I think the last JD combine have been on fire, if u look at the front of the roof and the headlights they look a bit melted...

How do some of these things happen? Mainly the one where the sixth one, the Tractor almost rolled up.

on the tractor that is broke in half the way that it broke is because the loader on the tractor dug in the ground and he must of been going at a fast rate and the momentum just snapped the tractor in two.

on the tractor bent in half thats because the hydrolic hose broke and the loader fell digging into the highway causing the tractor to bend in half

Looks like the track drivers could have fallen asleep. We can all learn something from these pics.

Crikey Travis...your quick to judge...that's the first thing I noticed about you...;)
You must be just learning to shave...cause you certainly can't spell or hyphenate a sentence into something one doesn't a teeny TXT code book to decipher.

how does this stuff happen? are pepole that dumb anymore or what?

Hi I live in Sask. Canada and see this to often. The massey tractor was going, I heard 28 MPH and a hose broke and the loader dug in. The picture of the sprayer in the water is from our new invention GPS and auto steer. The operators work very long hours sometimes as long as 48 hours straight. So they grab a few seconds sleep until they need to turn the machine at the corner. This happens in the dark so the cant see from the pass before and wake up in the water.
I hope this helps.
P.S. The green stagier tractor was a tornado put the tractor up on the granary. Only 8 miles from were I live.

I can understand what happened with the high clearance sprayer. We have GPS(Global positioning system) along with auto steer in our tractors and sprayers. After working for possibly 48 hours straight if you have auto steer you take advantage of it by sleeping a few minutes on each pass. If your spraying in the dark, we sometimes do this because the wind is down at night. This is what happens.
Also the steiger tractor up against the grainier was put there by a tornado.
Why the track hoe is in the drink I can't remember but I did here the story.
Hope this helps.
