It seems that Biglorryblog isn't the only fan of Western Stars--and why am I not surprised by that?. 'Young' Rod Simmonds (he told me off for calling him an old codger the other day claiming his only just over 40...) has sent me this selection and keep going as he's also surprised a nice 'for a pie' quiz shot too. But first to business like the PBT 'Star' B-double pictured above.

And just in case you Peterbilt fans were feeling left out here's one from the 2007 Pukekohe 'Show and Shine' display. Love the dinky trailer on the back...

Now click through here for a really tough 'for a pie' quiz....

So based only on this back view....what are these two tractors, named respectively 'Jewel of the Nile' and 'The Pharaoh II'?

Vic Hungerford:

Hi Brian

I didn't answer this quiz before as I actually know the trucks by their names, so thought that would be cheating. They belong to Pyramid Trucking Ltd, which is why their trucks have Egyptian sort of names, and their fleet is mainly K104s, Argosies and Alphas. These 2 in the photo are K104s.

Have a look at http://pyramidtrucking.co.nz/1024/gallery.htm for some great photos of their fleet. Cheers, Vic
