That nice man Richard 'The Brochure King' Stanier has responded to my plea for a picture of a Air Products Seddon Atkinson and has e-mailed me to say; "Hi Brian, I thought I would oblige you with a scan of an Air Products Seddon Atkinson 400. Naturally it's a brochure scan (the actual photos of these vehicles I have are copyrighted)"

He has then sent me a real treat: "How about this beauty too? An Air Products AEC Mandator 'with a load of hydrogen in cylinders at an air balloon display at Dunstable Downs, Bedfordshire' from the AEC Gazette, January - February 1968." Wonderful.
Richard then goes on to remind me that: "Wasn't it BOC that had the red with white striped flashes as their livery, rather than Air Products (or were they part of the same group??)." Quite right Richard, as ever, yes it WAS BOC with the red tankers. Doh!
Now click through here for the 'ultimate' Scania-powered dump truck...you'll be surprised.

Richard has unearthed this gem and says; " Following on from your blog on unusual places to find a Scania engine, I think I've got the ultimate! Check out the Volvo BM 540 dump truck from 1983, powered by---you guessed it---a Scania DS 14 V8! This truck was originally produced by the Kockums company that had traditionally used Scania engines, so I guess when Volvo bought them, they kept the original power source until re-engineering and re-designing could take place. Cheers! Rich."
Great stuff TBK!

Brian, surely you remember the BOC stripey livery being a CM livery competition finalist (2nd place, perhaps) in around 1978?? I think it might have been the same year that Pandoro featured.
I can't believe you've forgotten that, just because it was 30 years ago.....
