Classic British vans--and yes it IS an Austin and not a Morris says Ashley. And Biglorryblog agrees!

Well even the best anoraks can get it wrong! Following Biglorryblog's recent posting on the Welsh Festival of Transport and I have been sent this picture by show organiser Ashley Lovering who says: “Hi Brian. I notice that someone is trying to tell you that my van is a Morris. I can assure you that you are right as ACY 544J is an Austin. These were made to satisfy the Austin Dealers who were short of a small van when the A35 van finished. The badge, crinkle grille and Austin badged horn push were the changes and the Austin badge on the rocker cover. Ash (photo Austin left Morris right).”

Now click through here for two more old-time classic vans....

The van is a Morris series Z (model prior to Minor) the majority were supplied as Post Office (Royal Mail and Telephone) vans

Brian,
It's a Morris Z 5cwt van.

Taken in Flore Northants at the side of the A45. They belong to Clarks Garage just on the left southbound out of Weedon on the A5. I think you've also used that picture before.
