Biglorryblog's anorak army...God Bless 'em! Not long after I posted my story on Detroit-Diesel powered ERC Ecs (prompted by a reader picture) than I got a terrific comment piece posted by
Anthony Williams, truck sales consultant at Iveco dealer Sherwood Truck and Van, but formerly a salesman at ERF and a great advocate of the 60 Series. (Read his comment and you'll see what I mean). Anyway he subsequently offered me some more pictures of EC127s and here they are.
He tells me: "Brian, Shirley's Transport took these two in March and one in April all for there contract with Wyatt's, There was an article done on these and Shirley's at the time by Tom Cunningham in Truck & Driver."

He goes on to say: "I also found the above photo of another EC127 that Cawley Bros had (they had quite a few of them ) which took part in the ERF 'Coming Home' run from Sandbach to Middlewich, along with W504 that Shirley's entered."
Now this has all come as a bit of surprise to BLB as I thought there weren't too many sold before ERF decided not to offer the 60 Series any more. But I was clearly wrong. And click through here for a closer view of one the Shirley's EC127s....

Anthony asks me: "Hope these are OK?" You're kidding me right? Do any more BLB readers know the whereabouts of other EC127s? If so let me know and send a picture if you have one and my thanks to Anthony for some great pix. They're worthy of a pie!

Have one of the original EC 127 demonstrators which we bought off Beeches Garage and shipped here to New Zealand.
