Rod has sent me these shots and the following explanation: "This is my long time mate Ken Wilkie changing his Kenworth in for a Western Star (cos' you can't get Detroit's in KWs anymore!).So in typical Aussie fashion he held his own Truck Warming party............any excuse for a P... up!"
Rod continues: "Ken is a long time OD (1974) and Inter freak---but now a 'Star' freak, he likes white just in case you didn't know!" I can see that Rod....but it must take ages cleaning it and especially getting all the bugs off the bonnet! Must have some special gunk spray!
Well Rod has the answer to that one: "Based in Beenleigh, SE Queensland it will look SH1T pretty quick! Tows chemical tankers all over, averages 220,000kms a year. He DONATED the old KW Aerodyne to Rod Pilon Transport, Dubbo for safety, fatigue and road safety training/use with Government agencies----Ken always championing the cause!" And what a great gesture says BLB. I wonder how many UK operators would ever consider doing that..
