There's nothing Biglorryblog likes moe than a bit of animated graphics, especially if it shows an Allison torque convertor in action and I'm grateful to Kelly Dalwood to alerting me to the rather nice animation on the Allison Website which shows just that (click on THIS LINK and you'll go straight there). Meanwhile, Kelly tells me: "Hi Brian, not sure if this is of interest to you, but Allison Transmission has recently added an animation to its website explaining how a torque convertor works. Nick Bailey thought it might be something for your Biglorryblog?" You weren't wrong Kelly!

Big Larry, I'm the guy who created this Allison torque converter animation. I worked with some wonderful people at Allison developing the concepts that they wanted to see in this animation. My website is www.nonstandard3d.com. I'm glad you like animated graphics.
