Clutchslip reports: SED Construction Show odds 'n sods

Tomorrow (Thursday) is the third and final day of SED, the Construction Show at Rockingham Raceway near Corby. There'll be a full report in Commercial Motor shortly, but here's a brief look at the quirkier side of the show.

And talking of briefs, no we didn't check, but this is the latest in high-visibility kilts!

Apart from the demountable frame, this Imer mixer looks quite normal. Oh, and the truck, one of six ex-Nato Terex 6x6s used by Airside Installations for jobs like building windfarms in Scotland.

Seen on the Cummins stand, this cutaway QSK60 is a 3,000hp 60-litre V16 with a few turbos, and is normally used to power large gen-sets.

We like a bit of a tease, so you'll have to wait to see what connects this magnificent structure to the ground!

And finally, a special request from BLB himself, the Barford BigTrax 10. The slogan on the side says it all: "The tracked dumper that doesn't handle like a tank"
