Now that's what I call a mean looking dump truck. yes word reaches Biglorryblog that Kenworth is now offering its popular 'Extended Day Cab' option on its C500 model, which proclaims Paccar, (somewhat modestly I thought): "Has long been the industry standard for durability, quality and driver comfort in the off-highway trucking sector. We're pleased to introduce the Kenworth Extended Day cab for the Kenworth C500, which serves such demanding applications as oilfield, mining, heavy haul, logging and construction," says Gary Moore Kenworth's assistant general manager for marketing and sales.

And what's so special about the spacious EDC I here you ask? Well it's six inches longer and five inches taller when compared to Kenworth's traditional day cab. Moreover, it also offers two more inches behind the wheel, additional leg room, up to 21 degrees of recline in the driver's seat, and an extra two cubic feet of storage behind the driver's seat. Now click through here for more...

The EDC is available on all new C500s with a 2007 or later engine and with either one-piece or two-piece curved glass windshield. So now you know. And for the record it's also available on Kenworth T660, T800, and W900 models too.
