Now if there's one thing that Biglorryblog is partial to it's an eight-legger with a bit of bling..and what better than this one? And the story behind this splendid example is that when Dundee-based Ramsay’s Waste Management started to spec its two latest tippers, owner Ramsay McBain detected a wind of change running through Scottish tipper operators. Quite simply, he tells BLB: “I’ve seen too many Thompsons bodied tippers in this area to be able to ignore them any longer.”
“We quickly found out that the all-steel Loadmaster is an exceptional product with a huge reputation attached to it” says Ramsay. “For strength and durability, everyone says it really is the tops, and hence has to be the perfect compliment to the Iveco Eurotrakker chassis we currently prefer.”
Now click through here for news of its rather clever body....and a nice shot of the tipper at the bottom of a quarry...

See what I mean... ? And what is BLB always telling you about composition and getting interesting things into the foreground of a truck picture? I wonder if it's one of young Mr Watts photos? Anyway I digress. Having chosen a standard specification Loadmaster for the first of his two new chassis, Ramsay decided that he wanted something more individual for the second and he goes on to say: ''These days, tippers have to keep working day in, day out - and as jobs can quickly change, we really need a vehicle that can handle as many of them as possible” he says. “As a result, we took the Loadmaster concept a whole way further by asking Thompsons to build us a version with fully insulated sides and a split rear tailgate, thereby making it ideal for tarmac work too.”
Equipped with a lightweight, high performance Binotto front end hoist, this highly versatile and eye-catching tipper is performing fully to expectations, being operated on an ever-changing variety of muckshifting, quarry work, tarmac and waste handling duties. or as owner Ramsay says: ''I’d say our Loadmaster and Eurotrakker tippers are pretty much unbeatable!”
