It's all over bar the shouting, air horns and whiff of diesel. Biglorryblog is fresh back from Truckfest Peterborough and I thought I'd show you my own alternative Truckfest 'awards' that should please my beloved anorak army...starting off with this Foden in the classic colours of Robsons of Carlisle...are me sainted youth driving up the M6 and counting off the famous 'Border' names on the front of the Robson waggons.
After a Foden well obviously I had to have an A-Series ERF with a Cummins under the hood. And pick up on the previous BLB posting on the last ERF in the shop...
Now here is a rare beast...a bonneted White Freightliner. I can't say I've seen this one of the old-timer show circuit before. Perhaps Mr Tuck knows more about it?
Time for a bit of Swedish steel, nice and tidy Volvo F7 sleeper.
And if we're talking iconic early eighties motors I've just got to include a 3300 Daf Space Cab. My first serious 'Class 1' drive after passing my licence was in Richard Kingston's immaculate Daf 2800 6x2 black sleeper. Never forgotten.
Now click through here for some more Truckfest moments from BLB's own private gallery.
Ahhh...a really 'heavy hitter'. Classic Rotinoff is definitely 'goodenough' For a quick pie, how old is it, and what's under the hood?
What so special about an FH Volvo? Well it's the first one ever sold in the UK and now beautifully preserved. This is how to keep history alive...
For pantechnicon lovers everywhere...this very smart Renault Premium. I think I'll pass this on to Bob T for a driver's working day in Truck & Driver.
And to finish, here's something for the old-timers. Seddon eight-wheeler. Chris G, not quite an Atki but the other half of the same coin...

The Rotinoff is 1957 ex Swiss Army. I think it has a Rolls Royce engine.

The same coin???? Ahem, I think not!!
Anyway, the Rotinoff (another Atkinson connection!) - would this particular example date from around 1960? Perhaps it's an ex-Swiss Arny example. I think normally a Rolls Royce engine of around 300bhp (without checking on my Rotionoff brochures!)
