Western Star heavy haulage trucks. It's 'Special Transport Time' on Biglorryblog with Dennis.

It's a heavy haulage morning on Biglorryblog thanks to Dennis Child, BLB's resident special transport picture provider and general manager at ROTRAN Multi-Axle in South Africa. Dennis has sent me the first of three posts. It's a Western Star 6900XD with Cummins 610hp [got to be a Signature] with Allison transmission/torque converter/retarder. Dennis adds that it comes with a Meritor front axle and SISU back axles rated at 150-ton GCM. Now click through here for a shot of it from the side--it's a terrific heavy hitting outfit! And there's a quick BLB pie quiz too..go on you know you want to.

Nice--and thanks to Dennis for it. Now for that quiz. 1/. Where do they build Western Stars. 2/. Who owns Western Star and 3/. What famous UK brand did Western Star once own (Easy peasy)...
