The Benton Bros. Group has taken delivery of two new Renault Premium 450s, with another three to come in September, in an important conquest deal. How so Biglorryblog I hear you ask? Well I can tell you that they're the first-ever Renaults (the one above is called Lady Ruth Eleanor) to join the Lincolnshire-based company.

Benton Bros recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, not least through some very special anniversary trucks like this Daf XF105 which will shortly be featured in the next edition of Truck & Driver. And this picture was shot by ace snapper Tom Cunningham.
Interestingly, the Premiums are the first trucks within Benton's 150-strong fleet to move away from tradition with a new look company livery.
They'll undertake general haulage work within the BB group, under the name Benton Logistics, with regular transport within the UK and Europe. Now click through here for more....
Martin Benton, chairman at Benton Bros tells BLB: "We have been looking to add more variety of trucks to our fleet and were impressed by the fuel efficiency of the new Renault Premiums. We are also pleased with the convenience of the Renault Trucks dealer network, which means that both of our depots can enjoy full support at all times. We are celebrating our centenary year this year and, as the company moves into a new era, the Renault Premiums have been given a striking new livery to reflect a more modern, fresh thinking approach to our business."
Mmmmm...at the risk of sounding like an old reactionary I rather liked the anniversary look!

Which is much more polite than what I said to Martin about his new livery!
