There's bonneted trucks...and there's eight-leggers. But only down under do you get a bonneted eight-legger and in particular in New Zealand where you'll find this beauty. And being a Kiwi Kroozer naturally it's come to Biglorryblog via the camera of Rod Simmonds who tells me it's: "Godfrey/TD Haulage Group's US-imported Kenworth T800 with a CAT Acert 550 and in-house chipliner curtainsiders...." Well Rod you know what they say, when the chips are down. It seems they have a few of them too.
It strikes me this might be quite fun to drive around a tight corner or road junction not least with the big nose out front...but it certainly looks impressive!
Anyway, click through here for one more if you like sticking your nose in things!

Those bulging slide walls look like fun too. A full load of chips on board I'd say!

I think you might have misspoke saying only Down Under do you find bonneted 8-leggers. Here in the Great White North we have numerous examples; most common being Mack and International Ready-Mix concrete trucks. There are also quite a few dump trucks around, at least in Ontario & Quebec, in this format.
Sorry I don't have a photo handy to prove it.

The Poms wouldn't know that, Froggy, they don't have bonnets on trucks in that part of the world!
And they're no problem to turn around, Brian. They turn them around quite easily inside the Interisland ferries.
