You have to get up early to get one past John Henderson, Biglorryblog's man North 'o' the Border especially when it comes to Diamond Ts...and Musselburgh..but more of that later. John says: "You're keeping me on my toes, as Musselburgh's J&T Motors ran a Diamond T wrecker many years ago and their yard was just two doors down from Pollock's original Newbigging depot. By some sheer coincidence, both the aforementioned premises were right next door to my secondary school and I must admit my exam results suffered as, when in my usual seat beside the window, I was more interested in the lorry comings and goings, rather than the particular lesson in progress!"
Meanwhile John says: "Sadly I've no pictures of J&T's Diamond T, but I've attached a couple of shots from my regular, unauthorised sorties from the school grounds with the Kodak, 12 picture instamatic which fitted easily in my satchel! Apologies for the picture qulaity, the Volvo is named 'Joe 90' after the Gerry Anderson TV programme of the time and the Scania is 'Jingling Geordie' in honour of long standing Pollock fan, Geoff Milne from Chester le Street who had recently got married in 1978. So now you know! Cheers, John...."
Great stuff John...I wonder what happened to those two gems? Anyroadup click through here to prove that Biglorryblog doesn't know a mickle from a muckle....or a mussel!
John says: "Your recent story on the Diamond T and the Avro Vulcan had me diving for Google, as being a native of Musselburgh I'd never heard of the Musselburgh Collection in Norfolk. I presume you mean The Muckleburgh Collection of military vehicles(www.muckleburgh.co.uk)?" Absolutely John, my mistake. Doh!

Excellent pics of a wonderful fleet! In an anorak sort of way, I'm slightly curious as to why Pollock were running an F88 with a Lancashire reg.....
