Catch! Not content with sponsoring the All Blacks AND the Italian national Rugy Union team (I think they're called the Falcons) those Italian funsters at Iveco have launched a new website called Iveco Rugby Radio (www.ivecorugbyradio.co.uk) which is the first web radio station dedicated to rugby union. To you Gareth!

And according to the press blurb: "This fully-fledged radio station builds on Iveco's investment in rugby, through its four-year global sponsorship deal with New Zealand's All Blacks and a two-year agreement with the Italian Rugby Federation and the Italian national rugby union team." Well I just said that didn't I?

However, it goes on to say; "Iveco Rugby Radio is designed to build a true community of rugby fans and potential customers and will continuously broadcast music programmes interspersed with rugby features and information about Iveco products and initiatives.  Amongst the features online will be downloadable podcasts and an opportunity to listen to interesting facts, stories and profiles of rugby's leading players both past and present, with fresh content being uploaded on a fortnightly basis." So what are you waiting for? Get listening to Iveco Rugby Radio!

Andrea Bucci, Marketing Director of Iveco UK, explains to Biglorryblog: "Our research has shown that web radio audiences are increasing at an unparalleled rate and it is estimated that 30 million people listen to web radio throughout Europe, predominantly in the 18-44 age group.  The aim of Iveco Rugby Radio is to exploit one of the most rapidly evolving new medias and to create an even stronger link between Iveco and the world of rugby. We are also evaluating the feasibility of making Iveco Rugby Radio available to drivers of Iveco vans and trucks with the 'Blue & Me' in-vehicle bluetooth option fitted," he adds.

Broadcasting 24 hours a day with the slogan 'Face the Challenge', Iveco Rugby Radio is also available in both Italian and French, with German and Spanish versions to be launched in the autumn. In addition to the weblink at the top of this posting Iveco Rugby Radio can also be accessed via the main Iveco homepage at www.iveco.co.uk
