MAN TGS tippers...here's a couple of smart new ones painted by Andrew Cooper on Biglorryblog.

Andrew Cooper is surely a bit of a dab hand with the spray booth and paint brush as this very smart MAN eight-legger shows having just rolled out of his paint shop (well obviously not JUST rolled out...it would still be dripping wet--silly).

Anyway he tells me: "Hi Brian, this is one of two MAN 8-wheelers we've painted for local Welsh operator KHBS Ltd. They're 440hp TGS with Thompson Hardox steel bodies. The automatic tailboard is both barn door and one-piece top-hinged design making both of these tippers very versatile and able to tip stone or scrap with ease."

Now click through here for another shot and an interesting comment about tippers and disc brakes....

Andrew goes on to say: "The owner tells me that he specced them with MAN's water-cooled Intarder (factory-fitted) so as to stop the dreaded wheel-wash brake-disc cracking so often found on tippers these days. Very impressive---both vehicles are due to leave our premises soon and go to Eminox then Kelsa and be put into revenue-earning service during early July."

I thought they'd resolved the issue of disc-brakes cracking but seemingly not--does this a ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks to Andrew Cooper for doing such a great job with the paintwork, we're really pleased with the trucks and would recommend Andrews work to anyone. The bodies look stunning, brilliant colour and LOTS of paint.
Anyone wanting a great paintwork job should contact Andrew Cooper without hesitation. We have no regrets whatsoever for sending these trucks to him.
