A couple of months back I dared to criticise the aesthetics of the Hanomag van - which upset a number of Hanomag owners. Hopefully I haven't pissed them off too much, and they are still around to shed some light on this vehicle.

I must admit I do love that beautiful Silver Streak Airstream body. Do you reckon it was professionally built, or is it more likely to be a homemade conversion?

I know that are sold some Hanomag-Henschel/ DB in the US. they appear on Ebay sometimes...
some homebuilds look quite professional and this one looks quite good. the round headlights are really rare and by the looks of it, its an early model, 1967 to 1969. would love to see some more pics if avaiable.
BTW, they were even sold in the UK with RHD :)

A very interesting Truck, front wheel drive.
Started life as Tempo Matador.
Tempo was taken over by Hanomag, which in Turn was taken over by Henschel, which eventually was taken over by Mercedes.
The truck is still being build, albeit it modernised, as MB 100 in Spain.

I recently found 1 Hanomag F35 exactly like this one actually runs very well and is all original. I have great pictures and can email them if you would like to see.
I am trying to find the location of Vehicle ID plate on the vehicle.

I too own one of those Hanomag/silver Streak motor homes, 4CYL diesel Borgward engine, & front wheel drive. I have been told there were only 23 built/assembled in the usa, and that there were only a few still operational. I am in Ventura CA. There is one in AZ, and another in WA. Where is this one located?
