Word reaches Biglorryblog about a revolutionary new 'super grip' concept wellie boot, which uses the latest tyre technology and could spell the end of slipping around in the mud for festival lovers. Already billed as the 'ultimate festival wellie', it's been designed by fashion students at Leicester College and incorporates a sole made entirely from the tread of a Uniroyal Rallye 550 tyre to keep festival goers on their feet. It seems the advanced double-V tread pattern works by shifting water as quickly as possible to provide an outstanding grip and thinking somewhat 'laterally' Uniroyal reckons the same technology will work perfectly for wellies as it does for a rally car. Indeed, Uniryal's Tracey Hyem tells BLB: "Every year we see images of festival goers sliding around in the mud because their wellies just don't give them enough grip. We've applied our world class research and technology to create the perfect festival accessory which is not only stylish, but could save music lovers from ending up in the mud this summer." However, that's all very well but that's not what I'd call a pair of boots...now THIS is a pair of boots!

Spotted on a highly-souped up John Deere tractor at the last RAI Show in Amsterdam (remember ALWAYS kep your camera handy). Now click through here to see what it looks like from the front end....

If I remember correctly this baby had 1,000hp to play with and was used for those mad tractor pulls with sleds that dig into the ground the more the tractor starts to pull. Those crazshee Dutch guys!
