Ahhh...Western Star. And after bringing you various Constellation tractors Biglorryblog thought you might fancy a change--like this Western Star 6900XD off-road dumper with a 40-ton payload, 475hp and a 30 cubic yard body...mmmm nice.

And here's one at work with a big back hoe...power is provided by a Detroit Diesel 60 Series coupled to a Allison six-speed auto. It may look hot here but you can spec you dumper with a low temperature package that allows it to operate at -60 degrees F.

Now click through here for one more shot of the 6900XD .. on the road, well off-road naturally

And to stop it running away you've got a Jake Brake and an Allison retarder too. So why worry? Western star..serious trucks!
