Zimbabwe makes it onto Biglorryblog with some heavy hitters and roadtrains from Dennis C!

Mack Zimbabwe Ngezi 033.jpg

Dennis Child, Biglorryblog's man in South Africa running ROTRAN's heavy haulage operations has sent me this selection of shots. The Western Star roadtrain comes from Zimbabwe although the picture was taken in 2005 so I'm not sure what it's doing now...

Dennis has a massive photo archive of heavy haulage rigs and other exotic trucks in the Southern hemisphere and including these shots, again from Zimbabwe of a heavy haulage movement....so click through and see what I mean although for someone who's used to shifting 500 tons and more it's hardly surprising that Dennis says: "They call this 98 ton transformer 'heavy'?"

And here's another view of it setting off. with two 'Old' Volvo FHs taking the strain..

Where are they now..and what are they doing I wonder..?
