Identify this Australian oddity and win a pie

We've got yet another virtual pie to give away - but earning it is going to be a bit of a challenge this time!

Check out this picture that Atki Pete emailed me. "Here is an Aussie made 8x4 that might baffle your Army," says Pete. "The lack of a cab makes it a trifle harder than usual, but I am sure they are up to it."

Mariusz Koscinski:

My guess is it's an Atkinson...

D Powell:

Could this be an RFW of some sort?

andrew cooper:

yellow engine, so that means a caterpillar,i think it,s a leader but that is a guess.

Peter Lynch:

Spot on Andrew, this restoration is progressing very well and I will send some more photos when it is back on the road.
Might have been an RFW or a lovely Atki but that is just me dreaming..

Cam McFadyen:

Hi Pete,it`s an A8 306,Leader,the 8 for 8 wheeler, and the 306 for the 3306 Caterpillar, which is whats in it.Westco in Toowoomba are doing one up at the momment as well, and there is a couple at the wreckers in Briso if your mate is looking for parts, see ya,Cam.

Vic Hungerford:

And it looks like a Foden in the background

Peter Lynch:

That Foden looks a bit worried about its "new" shed mate. Gardner 8LW and 12 speed box v/s the big Cat and 15 speed roadranger...
Will pass on the info re parts Cam, thanks Mate.

Robert W. Dick:
