Mainfreight's new Hino from Rod in New Zealand...and a 'Can you guess what it is yet?' pie-quiz from Biglorryblog.

The old 'Krafty Kiwi' Rod Simmonds has sent me this picture of the rather smart  new Hino 450 for Mainfreight OD in typical New Zealand waggon-and drag configuration. Nice back-end too showing what I presume in the Mainfreight mob.

Now click through here for that all-important pie quiz...

It's either a deliberate attempt to get a nice blurred image...err...or it's a blurred image. Either way Rod asks me can you guess what they were/are?

OK I'll have a stab at it..a Scania and a Foden. What does BLB's anorak army make of them?

Vic Hungerford:

Rod complains about other people's photos and he can't even hold a camera still! I suppose we'll have to be charitable and say it might be a deliberate attempt at an "arty" shot.

My guess is for the first photo - a TD Haulage chipliner, so a Kenworth K104.

And for the second one - a McCarthy's logger, maybe an ERF.

And probably I'm completely wrong!

Barney:

The first one I think is a FREIGHTLINER ARGOSY I think the spelling might be wrong there.Second one ERF EC14 or a Kenworth.

rod simmonds:

close but no cigar Vic!!!!!!!

Robert W. Dick:

T.D. Haulage T800 Kenworth & Mike Lambert Western Star 7584S...
I would suggest a "faster shutter pie" for Mr. Simmonds...

Peter Lynch:

I think Rod might need a good photographer.

Barney:

Its a Feightliner Argosy and a ERF EC.

Andy Davis:

Me thinks its a Scania Topline 4-series,then a Foden 4000 series below.

But what the ....happened with your camera,Rod?!!

rod simmonds:

Yes Mr Dick but you have local knowledge.
My 6 year old took them at 7am, he liked them anyway.
