Biglorryblog was only just wondering the other day "What's happened to my most favourite Russian anorak---Vladmir Chekhuta? Oh how I've missed his stories and pictures of new Russian trucks." Well wouldn't you know it, Vladimir is back with a photo and this message which I received today: "Hello Brian, I just got this pic of new
Well they've certainly made up for the time gap, because Vladimir tells me that the 385hp Cummins ISMe-powered ' 72.38' six-wheeler is "The first cabover 25-tonne tipper from KRAZ." He then goes on to say, "I don't know where they got the cab---they may have bought it in from China as that's where many of the ex-USSR vehicle makers get theirs from. However, I think it looks like the MAN F2000 cab.Best regards,

Yes it's the magnificent, MZKT-79086. Now there's a truck to be seen in. And nice to have you back with us on BLB Vladimir!

The six axle tank and heavy plant MZKT transporter uses their own cab, developed for the most heavy trucks in their line-up, such as this one, and the bonneted tank transporter. I think it was shown earlier here on BLB. That one is a real beast: a desert off-road B-train tank transporter.

I like the look of that cab, it really looks the part in the same way that Pete's Aussie Atkinson RP cab did.

Four axle MZKT uses an old MAZ cab, not an Iveco one. It was developed by Minsk-based company in the early eighties.

However, there exists another post-soviet company that uses old Iveco cabs. That is russian 'Ural' from Miass city. They bought the rights for this cab in mid-nineties.

By the way, I think Vladimir is right: KrAZ cab is manufactured in China.
Shaanxi holds a license to F2000 cab: http://www.sxqc.com/
