Cam McFadyen has been busy sending me pictures of a shed-load of splendid trucks his bespoke bodywork and paint ship haver been busy turning out.\ Including this odd ball. he tells Biglorrblog: "Hi Brian, these things are called Moorooka Maggots, we`ve done a couple for Titeline Energy who operate Drill Rigs." And Cam's boys have fitted it with this neat slider tray body.

So tell Biglorryblog oh my beloved anorak army....what on earth is a Moorooka Maggot, who makes it and what makes it go? (There's probably a pie in it forn you...)

Looks like a serious off road vehicle, maybe needed to deliver XXXX to the residents of Moorooka during those Queensland thunderstorms.

They use them a bit here on road construction in difficult country, fitted with tipping bodies like a dump truck and I have also seen one used as a water tanker. I don't know anything about them really, but I saw one that Moorooka MST1100 written on it.

Hi Brian
the Morooka is a tracked machine with very low ground pressure for use on soft ground. Try looking at http://www.morooka.com/ for more details.

Having a closer look at your handiwork on the Maggot Cam, what is the idea of the hydraulic bit with the red cylinders?
