WEvery once in a while you've just GOT to break the rules--and in this case it's having buses on Biglorryblog! But when it's a Sentinel Steamer bus well what can you do? I have 'Mr Vintage and Classic' Bob Tuck to thank for this postinmg and photo parade. Bob tells me: "Hi Brian,
.
And that question is: Do any of Biglorryblog's anorak army have any OLD shots of other working steamers? Especially Fodens (well naturally).....And thanks Bobby--you can go and have your fish and chips now!

Brian, that summer sunshine ( not evident in these shots) must have ruined your memory.
I have sent you a Sentinel, a Foden and even a VW steam wagon in recent times. Looks like the Aussies are leading 3;1 at the moment.
I remember your photos well Pete, but Brian has requested "Old" photos.
Not to fear, I have sent him a few to even the score up for the Poms, including a shot of a (cough) "Colonial Wagon" - No offence intended obviously!!!
The challenge is on. Are my photos not "Olde" enough? I can always convert them to sepia and re submit them.
I assume that 'Old Glory' is registered as a coach rather than a bus as it does not appear to conform to the Diptac regulations (It does not have brightly coloured hand rails or low floor access without steps), however please remember that in the pre type approval days there were many specialist commercial vehicles based on bus chassis, such as Vanplan removal vans, TV Outside Broadcast units, mobile libraries, various fire service vehicles and what was probably the strangest of all, some British Airways conveyor trucks, to load cargo containers into aircraft, based on Bedford YLQ bus chassis
