My Cloggie mate Iep Van der Meer (and ace reporter for Truckstar magazine) has sent me these shots of the recent Truckstar Festival bash at Assen. (His website is on http://www.iepvandermeer.nl/ ) I reckon Truckfest Peterborough has some competition in terms of now being the 'Biggest trucking spectacular in Europe..' What do BLB readers think?
Couple of nice-looking MAN TGAs with all the appropriate Dutch bling--but I particular like the built in top fog lights on the yellow one at the back. That's how to get extra illumination without cocking up the cab's aerodynamics. Why don't more manufacturers offer that as a standard package?

Volvo VN waggon and drag belongs to Stam Trucking.

Truckpark...or bicycle park? Well it is Holland after all! Now click through here for a great night-time shot from Iep!

See what I mean? Thanks Iep!

hi brian, i think that everything about the continental truck shows really proves that the uk mud filled show with it,s over priced food and "a modern day equivalent of hitler" in a dayglow vest, really does show the uk industry in a bad light.i recently (along with several belgian owner driver friends)had a fantastic weekend at the lar truck show on the french belgian border.in fact it was t/fest south west weekend and the first time i have ever not been.i didn,t miss it one bit.i had a brilliant weekend with good friends, over 400 awesome trucks parked neatly on concrete hard standing with a wonderful friendly atmosphere and not a day glow hitler in sight.outstanding!
