Having recently sent me this picture of the only two-axle, road-going Douglas Dakota, Cam McFadyen has followed it up with some shots of the real thing...he's sent me these pictures and says: "Hi Brian, I thought you might like these."
"This DC3 is at Cairns airport. I`m doing a sales trip at the moment and I was out there picking up my wife. The corrosion is quite bad.there is more of this on the way,and something you may be able to use on the blog? All the best, Cam." use pictures of a Douglas DC3--do you know what this does to my Google ranking?
Looks OK from a distance...but you might not want to fly very far in it....
Sad really, I wonder if it can/wiil be restored back to flying condition. I suspect there are plenty of active Aussie Aviation Societies that would love to get their hands on it....assuming it's a) for sale and b) not too far gone.

Don't know what your worried about Cam. A decent dollop of Isopon and a couple of rivets and 'She'll be right!" as you guys say....
Strewth Cam..some jokers nicked the flamin' seats!!!

I don't know about the restoration fellas. It looks to me like that I-Beam running down the middle of the interior is the only thing keeping its back straight!

The port wing is held up by stands, you can`t count them as a structural part of the plane can you?
