Thanks to Gerald Woodgate at www.tnn.co.uk I can bring you this story about a clever wheeze from the BBC which has taken your common-or-garden 40ft container and fitted it with a GPS tracker and painted the BBC logo on it. Why I hear you ask? Well to see where it goes and what it carries for the next 12 months. Sort of a new variation on the travelling garden gnome theme...And you can read all about it on this link to the BBC's news website.

Personally Biglorryblog thinks this is a terrific idea, it will be fascinating to see what the box does in a year. In fact I shall be fitting myself with a GPS tracker to see how much travelling I do in the next 12 months...you never know it might just help in my annual wage negotitations!

For the first three months, whatever journey it undertakes on a Monday will be repeated twice during the same week. It will then be sent as secure storage to the BBC at Plymouth until it is 'evicted' in a telephone vote and for the remainder of the year it will be at Elstree where they will film scenes with an obscure character from Eastenders being found dead in the container.

BW-The empty container-whats the tare weight after all those PIES?

Monosodium Glutamate

Well - it got 1 1/4 times around the world and the BBC have lost interest.
