White & Company, the UK's largest independent removal firm, has just taken delivery of this smart new Scania drawbar rig, which is also the first in the fleet to be fitted with Michelin's XDN2 Grip tyres on its drive axle.

"We opted for a full Michelin policy three years ago following successful trials which demonstrated that they have a longer life expectancy and better performance in our fleet than the alternatives," explains Roger Brown, White & Company Group Fleet Manager.  "We're now trialling these new XDN2 Grip tyres as they are designed to improve traction in difficult driving conditions, ahead of hopefully rolling them out as standard fitment across similar vehicles in the fleet."

The new Scania will be used to move customer's personal possessions from White & Company warehouses in Bournemouth to destinations across Spain, with frequent runs to Mallorca. "Our vehicles average around 80,000 km a year, but the new Scania is expected to clock-up just over 100,000 km,"  Roger tells BLB adding, "We therefore want to get the most out of its tyres, and are confident that the Michelin XDN2 Grip will really deliver."

And as a sign-off do I detect the photographic handiwork of one T. Cunningham Esq, truck photograper to the Crowned Heads of Europe?
